There is a need to reduce complexity, promote consistency and ensure the distinct identities of awards and pathways.
The definitions of Single Awards, Pathways, Joint Awards and Minors have been updated.
Expectations
- Programmes should adopt the approved Degree Nomenclature.
- Joint Awards (unequal) in the same combination of subjects, but with different majority/minority combinations, should only be offered where there is a clear justification.
- There should not be both Joint Award (equal) and Joint Award (unequal) in the same combination of subjects
- There should not be a Joint Award (equal) and a Minor in the same combination of subjects.
